Admission Policy

CES admits children of all faiths, races/cultures, ability and family backgrounds.
Pupils are admitted at any time during the school year subject to availability of space.
Admission is considered on first come first served basis. Priority is however given to siblings of existing students.
Admission is subject to successful completion of the entrance procedure and prospective student satisfying admission requirements for entry into CES.
There is no requirement for a formal assessment for entry to PP1.
CES has limited facilities to support persons with special needs but will do all that is reasonable to accommodate the needs of applicants with special requirements.
Parents/guardians must declare in writing any known learning challenges and/or special needs of the child before admission to enable the school to access its capacity to meet the said needs. Parents/guardians will assume full responsibility for any consequences related to withheld information in this regard. In the event that special needs become apparent after admission, the school will liaise with the parent/guardian to review potential implications that may affect the ability of the child to continue at the school, and take appropriate action to safeguard the interests of the school and its stakeholders.
The school reserves the right to request for a character reference for a child from his/her previous learning institution. Such attestation includes and is not limited to the child’s academic ability, behavior, contribution in the school community, talents and interests, and any other special needs and conditions.
A student may be denied progress into any year if the school’s structure, in the opinion of the school management and other authorized leaders, does not meet his/her educational, pastoral and social standards.
Parents/guardians are requested to consider and make up their minds firmly before accepting an offer of admission and making a payment because any fees once paid is non-refundable and non-transferable.
The school reserves the right to refuse admission without assigning any reason to do so. Any payments towards admission for a particular year is not refundable or transferable to any other year. A fresh registration will be required if the child is to be admitted in a subsequent year.
The school maintains a record of all admissions.

Enrollment Age

CES adheres to the following Ministry of Education admission guidelines in respect of age:

Daycare: 2-4 years
PP1: 4 years
Grade 1: 6 years

Entrance Procedure

Secure an appointment and present your child for a written interview. Kindly remember to call a day before the scheduled interview to reconfirm interview.
Interview/assessment for entry in accordance with the admission requirements of the School and the criteria relevant to desired class/grade.
Feedback on interview and invitation to complete Registration Form.
Complete and submit Registration Form and requisite documents.
Execute a financial commitment into the school’s account to secure a place for the child.
Deliver on school requirements as appropriate.

Duly completed and signed Registration Form
Copy and original Birth Certificate of child
Passport photo of child
Copy of parent/guardian’s National Identity Card
Requisite Fees.
